Better than Rich Roll and Andrew Huberman the East Anchorage Book Club with Andrew Gray speaks to me as an Alaskan and Anchorage area resident. Always informative and upbeat Andrew highlights many Alaskans that I know of but don’t know about. This is my go to podcast and #1 on my list.
This is hands down my favorite podcast. Andrew is curious, authentic and always kind- as are his diverse array of interviewees! The material is always interesting and highly relevant - I recommend this to anyone living in Alaska and interested in the deeper contest and stories beyond the headlines!
I loved the O’Neil interviews. My uncle was the former CIA agent who was with Don Foote in the car crash in Fairbanks. If my uncle could have blamed the CIA for Don’s death he would have.
I finally listened to this and it’s so great to hear Alaskan stories and some of its political history straight from the people involved. Great job on the questions and definitely walking away with some gems to remember- like “it’s easy to hear the complaints when you know you’re doing the right thing”- Austin Q Davidson. Kudos Andrew! -Daniella
Thank you so much for this amazing podcast! It is so great to have local information that gives such a deep look into these local goings on, and is in audio format. Keep up the good work!

Noteworthy is the blend of firsthand political storytelling with rigorous context from academics, journalists, and advocates, making it valuable for listeners who want nuanced, locally grounded public discourse and practical policy insights. A consistent strength is its ability to connect Alaska-specific concerns to broader national conversations, often spotlighting underreported angles and real-world implications for residents and practit... more
