    The son said loosely that regarding “uniforms” that if a white person has a job interview wearing holes in his/her clothes that the job would be had, where as a black person would not, and while there could be many cases as such depending on the company, position, and person interviewing, I will say that I have received the same declination to a job based on my clothes, if inappropriate, and I’m white.     I find myself giggling a lot throughout each episode, which is good for my soul. Kathryn and Mandy’s authenticity fuels my own authenticity as a wife, mother, clergywoman, and citizen of the world. As the mom of a tween, I especially love hearing about their raising two open-hearted, open-minded sons. I can relate to Mandy’s being extremely hard on himself and his courage to make changes necessary to be less so. I’ve leaned into that courage as well.
