Q: Would you say the mother-daughter theme was a strong theme in a lot of your books?
Yes, particularly in her later works, themes of internal family conflict and secrecy are very pronounced, especially regarding the mother-daughter dynamic.
Sinéad Gleeson in conversation with Paula Shields, Dublin Book Festival 1
Q: When did the ending come to you and when do you know that you're finished?
It could only have ended a couple of ways, and when you're absolutely sick of it and can't bear to look at it anymore is when you know you're done.
Sinéad Gleeson in conversation with Paula Shields, Dublin Book Festival 1
Q: Were you thinking of writing fiction as well, all along?
I actually started this book before Constellations and before the anthologies, and it was something I thought I would never finish.
Creative Brainwaves, 3 October 2024 Dance and Creative Writing for Well-being
Q: Do you also do corporate programs or only community related?
Yes, I do corporate programs and would love to have more opportunities to bring movement into workplaces.
Creative Brainwaves, 3 October 2024 Dance and Creative Writing for Well-being
Q: Have you done any research related to body movement and the immunity?
I would love to partner with someone in that field as my research is qualitative rather than quantitative, but participants often report feeling more energetic and agile through movement.
