I found it really exciting to hear AJ talk about things like judgements and protofriends and the pressure to look good in front of others, because it really felt like he could hear the voices in my head. more
Shame is something we all have and learning how to acknowledge it and collaborate with it has become my newest superpower 🦸♀️
This is my favourite podcast. It’s about taking a deep, mindful and brave look inside your own head and making that place more comfortable to live in. Every episode is full of insights. A.J. is super smart, fearlessly vulnerable, humble and funny. He cares about you a lot, but will make you uncomfortable when necessary, like a real friend would. He will shine light on the deepest, darkest corners of your heart (usually by exposing his own), places that you may be hiding from others and even your... more
AJ makes you think, he makes you laugh, and I’m always excited to see a new episode pop up! He covers a wide range of topics with colorful commentary, bringing to light some really interesting points of view. Would highly recommend!
Really enjoying these episodes. AJ discusses ideas related shame with thoughtful nuance. Wish we had more of these discussions in our culture. Shared the Hierarchy episode on social media and friends loved it.
Overheard this guy talking on a patio, asked a question, and now here I am giving five stars on his excellent podcast. If you care about humans, or even just yourself, strongly suggest listening!
My shame breakthrough began with John Bradshaw’s ‘Healing the Shame that Binds You’. But AJ’s podcast helped me feel like I wasn’t alone, and the humor helped me unstick myself in moments when I was taking it all so seriously! I love this podcast so much and come back to it all the time.
I love this podcast, AJ is smart, funny, soothing and offers his refreshing perspective to the idiosyncrasies of life.
