Kudos to Mr. Hynes for this excellent recording of David Copperfield! He had me in stitches and tears many times over with his sensitive characterizations; Hynes really made Dickens come alive. I'd take this this vivid version over a movie adaptation any day. I can't wait to find others of Hynes' Dickens oeuvre. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us!

This is one of my favorite librivox recordings. Tighe (sp?) Hynes is superb. He differentiates the voices of every last one of Dickens' characters and imbues them with their due humor, tenderness, identifying characteristics and other feelings and motivations.
