At the crossroads of true crime, interior design, and the paranormal, Dark House explores beautiful homes that can’t seem to escape their dark histories. Hosts and House Beautiful editors Hadley Mendelsohn and Alyssa Fiorentino dig into the twisted backstories of four infamous homes, and uncover the strange stories suggesting some inhabitants never left—and that perhaps history isn't the only thing haunting them. Featuring guest interviews with authors, set designers, psychic mediums, and paranormal investigators, Dark House uncovers why these residences, and the stories they tell us, are so important.

The Amityville Horror House forced me to give this a 5 star review but I concur.
This is my favorite podcast and I couldn’t wait for it to roll around this year. This season was the best! What I love most is the detailed history of not only the house but the property and surrounding area. The hosts take great care to paint a full picture before going into the hauntings/spooky parts of it. I must have more episodes!
I just want the hosts and their team to know they do a stellar job putting this podcast together every spooky season. They do such thorough research and they find stories/places I’ve never heard of, both as a true crime mystery fan and an interior design addict. I’m so glad this podcast exists and marries these two subjects together in such a thoughtful way, since it’s such a fascinating concept - what does the place have to do with the story and what happens when everyone leaves? I recommend th... more

I’m new to this podcast, I’ve listened to about five episodes so far. They’ve all been amazing, and very well done. I’ve already subscribed and I will listen to them all. Well done, ladies!
