  • Batman was my Friend Too

Heard Adam on the legendary Talking Comics podcast and immediately subscribed. This comics podcast acts as an entry point to the medium while still providing nuanced commentary for long-time readers. Adam also has a very dry/witty sense of humor and is a huge proponent of mental health. Confirmed Epic, highly recommended!

Episode 41 - Shadow and Flames Beyond! With Magik!
Q: What drew you to Magik and the X-Men in general?
A mix of nostalgia, the richness of the X-Men ensemble, and clear-cut favorites like Magik, Kitty Pryde, and Lockheed, with an appreciation for the era and artists that defined those runs.
Episode 39 - Blood on the Tracks by Shūzō Oshimi
Q: What mental health issues are depicted in the story and how accurate are they?
Garnett discusses possible psychosis, narcissistic traits, generalized anxiety, and trauma, stressing that fictional depictions are not diagnoses but can reflect real dynamics; they emphasize that mental illness does not automatically imply violence and outline why trauma and attachment issues are plausible in this context.

Q: What is something we are vehemently against on this show?
Gatekeeping.
Episode 16 - Somna with Special Guest KadiahBear!

Episode 16 - Somna with Special Guest KadiahBear!
Q: What are you into? What type of stories do you like? What do you like to read, watch, play?
I'm much more of a book reader, however, being married to you for 11 years, I've gotten more into comics and graphic novels. I read a lot of horror.
