I’m a steel string Fingerstyle player and I still get so much from this podcast. The interviews are incredible and Bret’s sense of humor is what brings me back for every episode.
Bret is a terrific interviewer and conversationalist. He is funny, engaging, insightful, and establishes an amazing rapport with his guests. His blend of humor, insight, and spontaneity make for an incredibly lively, entertaining and informative show. I loved his interview with Hannah Murphy!
Sometimes it's refreshing to hear a down to earth discussion of the day to day realities of the working classical guitarist. The host strips away the pretension and academic veneer of the craft. I appreciate that.
I also appreciate the hard work he puts in to release the episodes so consistently over a long period of time.
And the guest list includes many top name guitarists and some new discoveries that I was happy to learn about.
