Artwork for Challenging Colonialism

Challenging Colonialism amplifies Indigenous perspectives on issues of concern to native Californian communities. It is our intention to create an educational resource where anyone can hear the perspectives of Indigenous peoples in their own words. • Should be required listening for all California!

A truly great podcast, Challenging Colonialism is an amazing resource for Californians to learn about the living history of this state and the people who have persisted despite centuries of persecution, state-sanctioned violence and oppression. This should definitely be required listening for high school students, as this is a part of the greater conversation that’s taking place in our society about land, economics and our obligations to the first peoples of this land.

  • 5 Star worthy podcast

This podcast truly captures so much of California’s rich history that isn’t taught in schools. Martin Rizzo and Daniel Stonebloom give an in depth amazing tour of sadly unknown history.
