  • Saved me a lot of time and energy

This was the practice model I had in my head when I went to chiro school. As I went through the program and into my first job post graduation I was told it “wouldn’t work”, “exercise is a waste of time”, and “you can’t do that”. I didn’t accept that as reality and started searching for resources on business and doing the thing I wanted to do. I stumbled upon this podcast and it completely changed the trajectory of my career and business ventures! Concepts and business skills that probably would ... more

  • Such a great resource for chiros!

The post grad class you need and are ready for! All our shared concerns, what ifs, false barriers addressed on one podcast. I have found this information helpful both as an associate and as an aspiring clinic owner.

  • learning new sets of skills

I love what you talked about in the episode called Interview with Matt Clay. He mentioned why the conventional system didn't work for him. I believe all providers have their own story from being a doctor to learning new sets of skills as a manager and a owner. I agree with you, only when they have a solid back-end structure then they can grow.

Q: What role does AI play in staying up to date and teaching patient communication?
AI can help gather evidence and assemble learning roadmaps, but clinicians should focus on human interaction and use AI as a support to build structured, evidence-informed communication tools rather than replacing personal expertise.
EP228: Why Poor Patient Communication Could Be At The Root of Your Problems Pt. 1 with Dr Benjamin Stevens
Q: How should clinicians approach scripting or structured communication without feeling salesy?
Create a personal framework you're comfortable with, hit a core set of points during every new patient visit, and gradually build a repeatable structure rather than memorizing word-for-word scripts; involve a trusted mentor to identify patterns and refine the approach.
EP222: How To Choose the Right Building for Your New Practice with Tyler Brookings
Q: What is your view on sales approaches in healthcare settings?
The guest emphasizes authenticity, avoiding a salesy feel, and reframing the patient experience as offering help rather than selling; the best approach centers on transparency and value.
EP222: How To Choose the Right Building for Your New Practice with Tyler Brookings
Q: How did insurance payments influence your decision to switch away from panels?
He experienced dwindling reimbursements and delayed payments from Blue Cross, leading to frustration and a decision to pursue cash-based or reduced-insurance models to stabilize revenue.
EP222: How To Choose the Right Building for Your New Practice with Tyler Brookings
Q: What were the first steps you took to find a space and structure your lease?
He started searching immediately after getting licensed, worked with a realtor, evaluated demographics and long-term area suitability, and rejected expensive, high-overhead spaces in favor of a more affordable, strategic location.
