Louder isn’t better, it’s actually annoying. At least Bull and Dustin knew when to reign in the other. Tough listen most of the time.

  • Very Average

Nick Wilson isn’t for me. Dusty is good when he does show up (1/2024 appears to be going through a personal crisis so he gets a pass)

Kudos to the producer for getting good national guests. Not sure why the guests put up with Nick.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jeff D. Lowe: The more the Cavs are quiet, the better odds they get LeBron
Q: Jeff, Francisco Lindor could be on the block from the Mets. Are you interested in a Francisco Lindor reunion with the Cleveland Guardians?
I'm open to any move that could help the team, and Lindor's a compelling name, but I doubt a return happens unless it clearly benefits where the Guardians are headed; right now they need more power and healthier lineups.
Matt Underwood: Guardians have been treading water without Jose Ramirez; I think they’re multiple pieces away
Q: Do you feel they're one piece away or multiple pieces away?
The consensus is that they are multiple pieces away, with a need for both a power bat and a reliable bullpen arm, in addition to depth on the starting rotation, especially as injuries have forced speedier roster development.
Greg Swartz: I don’t know if the Cavs need to make a big move to get LeBron James; Evan Mobley should be untouchable
Q: So before we get to some of the nitty gritty stuff with it, what do you think's gonna happen with LeBron?
LeBron will likely consider multiple teams, with Cleveland, Golden State, and Philadelphia among realistic possibilities, but roster fit and long-term salary structure will heavily influence his decision more than past relationships alone.
Best of Guardians on 92.3 The Fan: Can they finally develop big bats?
Q: What's the plan at the trade deadline for the Guardians given injuries and a competitive division?
The plan involves evaluating which veterans to keep and which young players to promote, with a focus on adding a right-handed hitting outfielder and a left-handed reliever to balance the lineup and bullpen, while weighing the cost of injuries and the possibility of acquiring impact talent.
Hour 3: Are Cavs fans taking Donovan Mitchell for granted? + James Palmer
Q: What does success look like for the Browns in year one with the new quarterback situation?
Palmer suggests that success hinges on a competitive offense that integrates a young core with a stable quarterback situation, possibly combining development with short-term wins.
