  • HQ for Cleveland Sports

I’ve been listening to these guys for all of my adult life (and I’m old) but I don’t live in Cleveland any more. This show helps ease my pain and I’ve been listening to this show since the beginning but I haven’t rated until now because I had to speak my peace.

The BA & BA (Brian Andersons) episode was TREMENDOUS! I had to pause the show multiple times to catch my breath and my face hurt from laughing.

Keep bringing Cleveland sports to the masses guys. Thank you!

I enjoy Jeff & Andy’s honesty. I also enjoy Packer Fan Dan as well chiming in.

Their perspectives are usually very well thought out, and communicated.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Scott Petrak: I think drafting Ty Simpson at 6 is too high
Q: Do you think Ty Simpson could realistically be in play at No. 6, or is that too rich for the Browns given the current roster moves?
Petrak expresses skepticism about taking Simpson at No. 6 but acknowledges a trade-down scenario where the Browns could still land him later if they value him highly, suggesting a flexible approach to the draft depends on how many other positional needs can be addressed first.
Scott Petrak: I think drafting Ty Simpson at 6 is too high
Q: So where do you think the quarterback position stands right now, given they haven't signed a clear veteran starter?
Petrak explains that they likely add a veteran only if the right fit comes along and that any addition would be a role player in the QB competition, not someone guaranteed to start; the plan seems to be to see how the draft plays out and whether a veteran could be the bridge or a competitor.
Paul Biancardi: Coaching is a big factor for teams making deep tourney runs
Q: Who do you like this year and who's hot going into the tournament?
Biancardi discusses strong two-seeds like Purdue and Houston, cautions about upsets from teams with solid chemistry, and mentions Wisconsin and High Point as potential sleepers in certain matchups.
Paul Biancardi: Coaching is a big factor for teams making deep tourney runs
Q: Has NIL changed things drastically when it comes to the tournament?
Biancardi says higher NIL spending allows bigger programs to attract top talent, but emphasizes that evaluation and chemistry remain crucial; seeding matters less than execution.
Paul Biancardi: Coaching is a big factor for teams making deep tourney runs
Q: Paul, did Miami have to get a bid or the NCAA would have looked bad?
Biancardi explains that Miami's bid was earned and highlights how an undefeated regular season is historic, noting it's a generation-defining achievement for a program.
