  • My go to weekly podcast navigating raising a child with a rare disorder.

This podcast is one I look forward to weekly.

Having different perspectives from the three lovely hosts is probably my favorite part.

The guests that they interview are outstanding but I usually get the most out of the “ask us anything” episodes.

I find myself nodding and feeling SO validated when I hear the reactions and solutions from these three brave moms!

  • My Safe Space!

This podcast is such a gift. Even on the days where it feels like nobody and no-one could understand what my caregiving life is like or I feel at my wits end, I know I can put on an episode of Brave Together and immediately feel like it’ll all be alright somehow. I learn, I smile, I cry, I feel seen. Thank you for being my safe space.

  • Most Relatable and Informative Show I’ve Found!

Truly. Every single episode I’ve listened to has brought such value, head nodding, and the desire to be in the middle of the convo with these ladies and their guests! There are so many autism/caregiving/special needs podcasts out there(thank goodness), but I have yet to find one that tops the content they bring to the table each and every time. Engaging, informative, genuine, and RELEVANT! Thank you!!!

I cannot believe I am just now finding this podcast. There is so much truth, so much vulnerability in stories and I feel like I can finally relate to someone else’s world! I have been doing this for 7 years and I wish I would’ve found this podcast sooner.

EXPERT: The Good Sleep Guide for Neurodiverse Children with Dr. Melisa Moore

Focus on a reliable bedtime routine, ensure your child's environment supports sleep, manage expectations, and use distraction techniques or guided breathing rather than trying to force sleep.
EXPERT: The Good Sleep Guide for Neurodiverse Children with Dr. Melisa Moore
Q: How do you know when it's time to seek a sleep professional?
Look for physical symptoms like breathing issues or pauses, night wakings that are confusing, or if you just need support; professionals can help determine if medical evaluation is needed.
EXPERT: The Good Sleep Guide for Neurodiverse Children with Dr. Melisa Moore
Q: Why do neurodiverse kids have so many sleep problems?
There are many reasons, but none of them involve bad parenting; differences in brain wiring affect how easily children settle, circadian rhythms, and common co-occurring issues like anxiety or reflux can interfere with sleep.
EXPERT: When OCD Impacts the Whole Family with Dr. Jenn Rapkin
Q: How is OCD diagnosed and what treatments exist?
A therapist or psychologist can diagnose OCD; ERP is the gold standard treatment, often combined with other therapies like DBT for distress tolerance.
EXPERT: When OCD Impacts the Whole Family with Dr. Jenn Rapkin
Q: What is OCD beyond the stereotype of neatness?
OCD can include intrusive thoughts and mental compulsions that are invisible, with rituals that can consume time and energy, and it can be triggered by trauma or significant life changes.
