  • Waste of Time

If they read “A Brave New World,” they obviously didn’t understand it. I listened to two episodes, both were absolute wastes of time.

These people are not writers they are grifters.

  • Wonderful information

I have listened since the beginning and trying little bits here and there but, hearing about others overcoming their pain points has been the most helpful for me.

    Keep up the great job!

  • Keeping informed

I’ve only recently discovered Brave New Bookshelf and am finding it’s time well spent. Keeping informed is the best asset for anyone interested in AI and writing. The program is across everything AI that an author might need. I’m also a graphic designer so I appreciate that the show includes the visual arts as part of their news.

Thank you for keeping us all informed.

  • Info so valuable I have it playing on a loop!

LOVE this podcast, it's the most valuable author-related AI info available. I listen to all the episodes, then start over. If you're a serious author and you're not listening to this podcast, shame on you. (Also, you'll be left in the dust.)

73 - Revolutionizing Multi-Voice AI Narration with Phil Marshall and Stacy Smith Rogers from Spoken
Q: Could you walk us through the process of turning a manuscript into an audiobook with Spoken?
The process starts when an author uploads a manuscript or text into the Studio, where advanced analysis suggests narration options, voice choices, and a lexicon for pronunciation. The author selects single or multi-voice narration, decides whether to generate custom character voices (using 11 Labs or Hume), and can add a personal intro. After creating, the work is narrated, proofs are reviewed chapter by chapter, and once perfected, it's published with payment only due for finished, approved work.
66 - Story is Code: Personalizing AI Workflows for Authors with Kimberly Gordon
Q: How are you approaching AI and publishing?
Kimberly explains that she personalizes AI workflows to fit a writer's unique strengths and voice, using tools like Claude Skills to unify voice and accelerate editing, and leverages Antigravity and other IDE-like apps to speed drafting while maintaining quality.
67 - Using AI as a Creative Assistant for Authors with Tanya Hales from AI Art for Authors
Q: Tell us about yourself and how you came into art as yourself and then how you came into AI art as well.
Tanya describes a lifelong love of drawing, early family influence, and a gradual shift into AI art, emphasizing how AI augments her process rather than replaces her creativity.
56 - How AI Bridges the Accessibility Gap in Writing with Lorna Mackie
Q: How has AI impacted the accessibility of writing?
AI has transformed the writing process by reducing the cognitive load and providing tools that help authors focus on creativity.
56 - How AI Bridges the Accessibility Gap in Writing with Lorna Mackie

Lorna was initially apprehensive but explored brainstorming before using AI for editing and development.
