The Future of Mixed Reality Development: With Guest Thomas Van Bouwel
Q: Where do you get your ideas?
Laser Dance really came from a desire to...I think the same is true for Mixed Reality. There's a lot of VR content that is great in Mixed Reality. It feels more immersive or it lowers the barrier of entry to people.
The Future of Mixed Reality Development: With Guest Thomas Van Bouwel
Q: Have you seen it make a big dent in architecture?
It's been really interesting... but what we found is that it's really hard to get architects to adopt VR tools for anything other than convincing their clients to sign off on their designs.
The Future of Mixed Reality Development: With Guest Thomas Van Bouwel
Q: What's been your experience about this new medium? What are you learning about it that you think other people who are getting into the space might want to know?
It's an exciting medium to work in, and I especially still like making games and trying new things like Laser Dance, because there's still so much to try and to figure out.
Talking Metaverse with Matthew Ball
Q: How have the advances in AI over the last two years changed your roadmap?
AI has provided a faster and more generally useful set of tools to tackle some hard problems, improving our approach to user interaction and content creation in augmented reality.
Talking Metaverse with Matthew Ball
Q: What comes to mind instinctively as that device?
Looking seven years into the future, we want to achieve a resolution of over 50 pixels per degree, with improvements in weight and comfort, as well as standalone performance without wires.
