This podcast is always fascinating and I never miss an episode. The last episode was a great discussion pitting to opposite points of view against each other, free will and determinism. I recommend that you use your free will to download and listen! Keep them coming!
I spent a couple of years having breakfast adjacent to and in conversation with Doug Hoffstadter at the Two Bit Rush. If you examine his statements they are non-falsifiable. Hoffstadter is a sophist without intellectual rigor,
After reading "Tresspassing on Einstein's Lawn" I searched for more by Amanda Gefter and stumbled on this gem. The hosts take the time for a serious discussion of the merits of good new books on scientific topics for general audiences. Very Good!
I find the books selected to be very interesting and the book reviews to be detailed and insightful.
Amazing podcast that reviews books on science. If you’re interested in science, it is a must!
This has quickly become one of my favourite podcasts. I love popular science books and there aren't a lot of podcasts devoted strictly to them. The hosts add a lot to my enjoyment of these books. They have insights that didn't occur to me. Both the hosts have written books of their own. I'm reading Amanda's book now (it's awesome) and Dan's books are next. I'm going through the previous podcast episodes right now. I wish there were more of them. I'm going through them too fast!!
