The only problem with this podcast is that I’ll never be able to read all of the recommended books. Smart and thoughtful and nourishing.
Robin’s interview technique is painful to listen to. He just can’t let the interviewee speak without trying to crowbar an irrelevant anecdote in. It’s frustrating. Although, props to Josie Long who is always a pleasure.
Quite enjoy the range of books, authors, topics and styles covered. Read eccentrically.
I love books. And I love this podcast ❤️
Always a pleasure. Guaranteed to be introduced to a new world each listen. Almost Late Junctionesk. Thanks Robin, Josie & Trent.

Focus is on books and related topics, with hosts initiating lively and passionate conversations that often transcend mere literary discussion. Each episode features a unique guest, resulting in a diverse range of discussions that explore the intersection of literature, personal stories, and cultural commentary. Topics often include the creative process, societal influences on literature, and often humorous anecdotes from the guest's life. Listeners can expect a shambolic yet thought-provoking experience where literature becomes a gateway to broader themes such as identity, creativity, and community.
