I’ve been a life long listener of BBC, and I have appreciated the BBC’s generosity, sharing streams and podcasts with the rest of the world. But now, BBC Sounds is history for us Europeans, and podcasts are held back a week and when they arrive, they’re now ads-infested. It’s normal fare these days, but paying good money for a very inferior product, is something I would never do.
This is consistently good.
Andrew Hunter Murray and guests take enormous risks with the libel and contempt laws but manage to walk a dangerous tightrope.
It has a Private Eye feel to it. It’s a return to the good old days of BBC political comedy. I love it.
Alan Coren was funny. Richard Ingrams was funny. Jeremy Hardy was funny. The News Quiz panels these days don’t even make me smile. A sad indictment of what used to be Radio 4.
I would like to just be able to follow the brilliant News Quiz - all the other so-called comedy shows are cringeworthy.
Are used to really enjoy this program. But now it’s completely ideologically captured. Weird lefties and the woke brigade.
