Amazingly good show.
Been enjoying this a while now. Don’t usually review things but it makes me laugh quite a bit. Great guests, particularly Stewart Lee. Keep on x
Message to Armando: Love the show! Reason why tRump mentioned Gretzky is that he is now American, quite Maga and a friend of the Orange One.
Wry humour and in many ways very informative too, as Armando and a guest (or 2) look at the trends and often, absurdities within political language. Episodes with Stewart Lee are particularly good.
We’re very lucky to have such insight from one of the great satirists/comedy writers of the age provided free to our devices with minimal ads!
Great to hear you moving beyond the totally predictable views of your echo chamber crowd by having Michael Gove on.

Sharp, witty exploration of political language and doublespeak, with a rotating cast of guests who bring insider perspectives from politics, media, and satire. The format centers on decoding phrasing, framing, and rhetoric used by politicians and institutions, often illustrated with real-world examples and humorous asides. Notable is the collaboration between Armando Iannucci and high-profile guests, plus the evolving role of a rotating co-host as Helen Lewis is away, which keeps conversations fresh while staying true to a language-focused skew. Potential listeners can expect smart, entertaining takes on current events, with a track record of high-profile guests and timely cultural critique that appeals to media professionals, policymakers,... more
