  • Favorite

This has quickly become my favorite podcast. After laughing so much when seeing James on Late Night with Seth Meyers, I immediately listened. Love both hosts for their funny wit, but also their thoughtful kindness. It’s just simply, dreamy fun. I could immediately see why it’s so popular. Might be fun if they even threw in shorter format listener call in dream menu episodes occasionally for even more variety.

Bella Ramsey
Q: What would your dream starter be, and who would bake the bread?
Bella envisions a bread-based starter, favoring sourdough baked by someone else (Chris Rufus suggested as a playful option), followed by an emphasis on a toast with butter and jam as a main early course.
Sindhu Vee (Tasting Menu)
Q: What would your dream drink be after Dry January changed how you handle alcohol?
She explains a shift away from heavy drinking, preferring neat vodka in moderation and Japanese whisky, and notes how her body reacts differently after a period of abstinence, leading to a more controlled, selective approach to alcohol.
Phil Ellis
Q: Your dream starter, Phil Ellis?
Oxtail soup.
Nicola Coughlan (Tasting Menu – Live at the Royal Albert Hall)
Q: Would you like me to kick off the podcast in only the way I know how?
Yes, please, go ahead with your signature intro and set the tone for the banter-filled, live tasting menu format.
Katherine Ryan (Tasting Menu – Live at the Royal Albert Hall)
Q: What does Katherine say about choosing high vs. low culture in food?
She expresses pride in mixing high and low media choices and embracing both gourmet and ridiculous options without apology.
