Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Courtney Bowden: Culture, Creativity, & Community in Playa del Carmen
Q: Was that what served as the inspiration for you to start to chronicle through Black Expat Stories?
Absolutely, it was because of all of those connections that I was making, all the conversations that I was having with folks.
Marissa Price: Liberation, Healing, and Purpose
Q: Can you talk a little bit about the Job Liberation Virtual Summit and its purpose?
The summit exists to provide resources and community for Black women to understand their options outside toxic work environments.
Marissa Price: Liberation, Healing, and Purpose
Q: How did you end up in Mexico? Was it because Rashida was in Mexico? Was it because there was a past experience in Mexico? What brought you to Mexico specifically?
I think Rashida had a lot to do with it; watching her channel and videos helped. Mexico City was my first trip outside of the US.
Rory Verrett: Finding Peace & Purpose on the Path to Portugal
Q: How has this reset been for you, going from a big lifestyle in the US to a slower pace in Portugal?
Living middle class in Europe feels upper middle class compared to the US, allowing for a more peaceful existence without the constant vigilance.
Rory Verrett: Finding Peace & Purpose on the Path to Portugal
Q: With all of this big career that you had, as well as helping other people get their act together, how and why did you leave all of that behind and move to Portugal?
It happened incrementally, starting with the 2016 election, leading to a decision to explore living abroad and ultimately a school shooting that catalyzed our move to Portugal.
