  • You don’t need your mask

Mandi it’s ok to be depressed. I started therapy again this week. I felt myself spiraling into the dark spaces and I’m fighting my way back to the light. Fight when you can, rest when you’re tired, cry when it hurts. You have to live where you are. It’s ok. I’m proud of you for sharing your struggles. Your honesty is helping me heal.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Using a 401(k) Loan to Tackle Debt: Smart or Risky? [BA QA]
Q: Is borrowing money from your 401(k) a smart move to pay off debts?
The hosts acknowledge that it can be a viable option if the loan is repaid on schedule and the alternative debt isn't affordable, but they warn about penalties, job-security risk, and the lost potential growth from retirement funds, so it depends on individual discipline and circumstances.
Mandi's Life Update + How Celebrity Hairstylist Lacy Redway Turned $10 Braids Into a Six‑Figure Career
Q: How did you approach pricing and making your business sustainable?
She discusses treating hairstyling as a business from the start, reinvesting in herself, progressively raising her rates, and using agents strategically while building direct relationships so she can control her value.
From Nanny to CEO: Do You Really Need an MBA?
Q: Do you need an MBA to pivot into business after nanny work and education?
No, an MBA is not strictly necessary; a viable path can be built through a strong business idea, a solid plan, mentorship, networking, and practical experience, such as starting an LLC or consulting on the side while gaining revenue and validation.
You’ve Got a 750+ Credit Score… Now What?
Q: Hello, ladies. My name is Nicole, and I wanted to know ways I can raise my credit score.
Natalie, you already have a very high score and are near the ceiling of many scoring models; the best approach is to optimize reporting dates and utilization by spreading subscriptions across cards, paying balances in full, and considering a credit-builder loan if you want to safely diversify credit types without taking on real debt. Also, be mindful that different lenders may look at different scores, so maintain healthy overall financial habits rather than chasing a single number.
How She Leveled Up After a Layoff: LaKesha’s Story
Q: How does education feature in LaKesha's plan to advance?
She considers pursuing a master's in data analytics, potentially funded upfront by the employer, to increase technical competency and long-term value in her field.
