  • New to Contracting—Already Winning!

Elise is incredibly helpful. I started my contracting journey through a third-party contracting company last year. Then, I don’t know how, must’ve been a “God thing,” but Elise’s program and Facebook page fell into my world, and I fell in love with the idea of contracting myself. Fast forward less than a year, and I have my own business and have hired my first contractor. I listen to this podcast and look forward to it each time it’s dropped. It supports what she offers in her FB group and progr... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Breaking the Agency Mold: Brittany’s Path to Independent Contracting and Beyond
Q: What were the biggest mindset shifts you had to make?
Realizing that owning a business is achievable without a formal business degree, and embracing the idea that with the right resources and a supportive team, I could learn the skills needed to run a contracting business.
Finding Success in Virtual School Contracting with Ellie Richter
Q: What did your business look like last year?
Ellie describes a year focused on outreach and cold-pitching to schools, with greater success when emphasizing her bilingual niche and relationship-based approaches. Relationships seeded 3-5 years prior began yielding contracts, and she shifted to building deeper, more targeted partnerships rather than broad, blind outreach.
Speaking in Schools: The Overlooked Revenue Stream for SLPs with Daj Mitchell
Q: Could you give us a little bit about what led you to coach on public speaking and how you got here?
Daj explains that niching and building authority early—particularly around AI and tech in education—helped her become a recognized speaker and coach. She emphasizes practical experience (hundreds of engagements) and evolving frameworks like the Therapist Podcast Accelerator and Therapist Speaker Accelerator as pathways for SLPs to monetize speaking.
