  • Great Content Well Produced

Show is entertaining and well produced, great job Tom! The only issue is tattoos are a visual medium, so it’s hard for me to appreciate the content via audio only.

  • Hosts are constantly speaking over guests

I like this show and find it interesting. The episode with Alice Snape was fascinating and very important, but it drove me crazy to hear how the hosts constantly interrupted her and cut her off while she was speaking. Let your guests speak! I feel like she barely got a word in.

  • Engaging podcast with range and depth

The tagline is “the history of everything told through the history of tattooing” and it fits. I’ve learned a lot about tattooing, but also about social and cultural history across the world. They have great interviews with a range of interesting guests.

I would suggest starting near the beginning if you don’t already know some recent tattoo history. I listened out of order and some of them made much more sense on a re-listen once I knew who they were talking about!

I stumbled across a clip of this podcast on Instagram recent, what a great find. I have not been able to stop listening since. I would definitely give this a listen if you are into tattoo history, or just tattoos in general.

How Does Laser Removal Work? with Jordan Butler
Q: Can you give us a kind of ground level explanation of how the ink works in the skin, and how the process of removal works?
The quality of lasers is measured by pulse duration, and during tattoo removal, the laser hits the tattoo ink and breaks it down so that it can be carried away by the body's immune system.
The Inked Link
Q: How has the QR code changed your personal relationship to your art?
It's created a disconnect between the physical tattoo and my emotional engagement with the links it leads to, as I often forget to check what it directs to.
The Inked Link
Q: Tell us about 'The Inked Link' project. What was the idea behind it?
The project involves a QR code tattoo on my arm that redirects to whatever the public votes for online, allowing others to influence my body with their choices.
