  • Great Content Well Produced

Show is entertaining and well produced, great job Tom! The only issue is tattoos are a visual medium, so it’s hard for me to appreciate the content via audio only.

  • Hosts are constantly speaking over guests

I like this show and find it interesting. The episode with Alice Snape was fascinating and very important, but it drove me crazy to hear how the hosts constantly interrupted her and cut her off while she was speaking. Let your guests speak! I feel like she barely got a word in.

  • Engaging podcast with range and depth

The tagline is “the history of everything told through the history of tattooing” and it fits. I’ve learned a lot about tattooing, but also about social and cultural history across the world. They have great interviews with a range of interesting guests.

I would suggest starting near the beginning if you don’t already know some recent tattoo history. I listened out of order and some of them made much more sense on a re-listen once I knew who they were talking about!

I stumbled across a clip of this podcast on Instagram recent, what a great find. I have not been able to stop listening since. I would definitely give this a listen if you are into tattoo history, or just tattoos in general.

  • Great show, valuable resource

Don’t even remember how I found this, but yesterday I discovered it and then in turn Matt Lodder’s work and 10 seconds later I was ordering his book Painted People. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning with all this.
