I like how this book helps get through books. But also adds a bit of commentary, humour and history to it!
The world is a really weird place right now and it feels like more and more people are getting a little too comfortable disregarding the first amendment and banning books. Keep up the good fight :)
I love this podcast. I've read many of the books they go through a long time ago and it's been great to revisit and hear their thoughts. I hope everyone in the world gets to read or at least listen to these books.
Banned Camp does an excellent job blending comedy, book discussions and thoughtful conversations about free speech and censorship. The hosts make complex and sometimes controversial topics approachable, engaging and entertaining without losing sight of their importance. This podcast is a refreshing and insightful listen. Highly recommend!
It’s like being a part of a FUN book club. They explain that they’ve never read the books before and they’re having a smart and interested, yet natural, conversation. I’m returning to this podcast again and again.

Banned Camp blends humor with rigorous discussion of banned books, reading titles cover-to-cover and unpacking why authorities claim they should be restricted. Episodes mix lively banter, cultural commentary, and occasional news bits to explore censorship, free expression, and how literature intersects with current politics. Noteworthy is the hosts' balance of playful storytelling and pointed critique of book bans, often tying classic works to modern debates and policy shifts. The show stands out for its consistently irreverent tone paired with a serious thread about access to literature and the First Amendment, making it appealing to listeners who enjoy book clubs, social critique, and witty hosts with clear viewpoints.
