  • Nothing is surface level

Misty has a way of getting all of her guests to comfortably open up about life in ways that aren’t discussed enough. Her conversations are raw and unfiltered, and somehow they find me at just the right time in my life 💕

  • JUST LISTEN

As a mens only, part time stylist I assumed Misty’s podcast wouldn’t bring me much value. UM I WAS WRONG. This is so much more than a hairstylist podcast. The life lessons, heart to hearts, reassuring, and motivating messages are incredible. Listening to just one show lit a fire in me and motivated me to make a few changes to my business to allow me a better life/work balance. Please do yourself a favor and take the time to listen, while cooking, working out, driving (even if it’s a short drive)... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Personality Matters More Than Skill in Building Dream Clients w/ Kati Whitledge
Q: Who are you and what do you do?
Kati Whitledge explains she started as a hairstylist, became a multi-location salon owner, and launched Maya to help stylists attract better clients and build dream clientele; Maya predicts outcomes for first visits to reduce anxiety and improve retention.
Overthinking, Pivoting & Pivoting Again: A Real Talk Episode with Carly Zanoni @the.blonde.chronicles
Q: How do you manage the overwhelm of information in the education space?
I stay focused on actionable, small improvements rather than chasing every new trend; I believe in taking little pieces from multiple teachers, staying authentic, and iterating based on what your audience actually finds useful.
Overthinking, Pivoting & Pivoting Again: A Real Talk Episode with Carly Zanoni @the.blonde.chronicles
Q: What was the pricing strategy and how did you handle expectations about impact?
I kept the initial price very affordable (around $10) and used a private page to test demand, understanding that not every class would be a life-changing breakthrough but that small, consistent value would compound over time.
Is AI in Your Beauty Business Helping or Hindering it with Jodie Brown
Q: What are your first thoughts about AI in the beauty industry and education?
It can be a powerful accelerator when used thoughtfully, as an assistant for admin tasks and ideation, but it should not replace the creator's voice, expertise, or the human connection that builds trust with clients and students.
Salon Guest Experience- Tough Love Edition w/ Gina Sincard @Iamginabianca
Q: How do you handle taking feedback as a stylist?
Receiving feedback from customers hits differently than from a boss, and it's crucial to improve.
