I really enjoy your viewpoints with the candidates and the recognition of arts as a critical need for youth. As Miss Iowa 2019, I would love to collaborate and share my initiative Americans for the Arts: Advocate, Educate, Invest.
This podcast provides a unique perspective on politics and art. It’s intriguing to hear what the guests have to say about be background with the arts and ways we can make them a priority in our society.
What a great series interviewing presidential candidates on their view of the arts and culture. So pleased to hear the candidates not only recognize the arts and culture as central to our lives, but also central to the economy and education. But it doesn’t stop there- how the arts increase the effectiveness of health care (while decreasing costs); how the arts help with criminal justice reform, aging in place, and workforce development to name a few. Go listen and learn!
Finally, someone is talking about the importance of the arts on the presidential stage. It’s really great to hear these candidates’ arts backgrounds too. I’m getting to know them on a personal level!
With the 2020 candidates continuously discussing the same old issues, this podcast is a breath of fresh air. Ben Folds does a great job interviewing the candidates, and is obviously very passionate about the subject.
