Whenever I start to get bored with the current meta happenings, Gerry always pulls me back in by giving me a few variables to try out and mull over 😎

The brief moments of helpful MTG information are tucked between long stories about friends that the listeners don’t know, and the co-hosts arguing about something mundane. I only found this podcast recently as I was hunting for people talking about Standard deck building. Content centers on competitive Magic: the Gathering, with deep dives into modern and standard metagames, deckbuilding, and live testing of tech from current archetypes like Goryo's, Landfall, Prowess, and various control lines. The hosts blend data-driven analysis, personal travel stories, and community insights, often including sponsor plugs and practical tips for RCQs, GPs, and open events. A standout is the emphasis on real-world prep, hands-on deck tweaking, and candid commentary about event organization and the broader hobby economy, which makes it useful for listeners seeking actionable strategies alongside relatable banter.
