  • Quite splendid

An informative and amusing romp through incredibly specific things ie. my favorite way for a podcast to be. Preferred listening for distraction while doing injections (which is to say, a great way to stumble around looking for band-aids whilst both hosts attempt to determine the correct number of Marx brothers. Huzzay huzzay.)

  • One of my favorite podcasts

I absolutely love this podcast! Nothing cheers me up faster when things are bad than listening to Ken and Dee. They are both so knowledgeable, intelligent, perceptive, and funny! Plus, as I said, they absolutely know what they are talking about and anyone who is interested in antiques and collectibles will learn a great deal from them.

Ancient Coins with Dean Kinzer
Q: What would your advice be to someone who is intimidated or kind of, you know, I'll just stick with intimidated to get into the world of Ancient Coins?
I would recommend that there are certain countries that are not necessarily where you would want to buy them from, like places outside of reputable markets, but in places like England or Germany, you can find coins that were meant to travel and will be available to purchase in a non-intimidating environment.
The Edward Gorey House
Q: What is the one thing you wish more people knew about Edward Gorey or the house?
He was just like a really funny, wonderful person. And I don't think it's important necessarily to him that we know that.
Revenge of the Horse of the Invisible - Carnacki the Ghost-Finder with Terrible Book Club
Q: What was the main issue with the ghost haunting?
The main issue was a haunting centered around a horse that allegedly caused harm to the women in a specific family lineage, which led to various unusual and terrifying experiences during engagements.
Ch. 36 - Varney the Vampire, or, The Feast of Blood (1845)
Q: Was The Duel the argument between these two old guys?
No, that wasn't a duel; it was a personal conflict between two characters.
The Wonderful Collector of Oz with Dan Warren
Q: Do you have any tips for folks who would like to start similar collections?
You have to actually enjoy the process of antiquing, the treasure hunt aspect is key.
