An informative and amusing romp through incredibly specific things ie. my favorite way for a podcast to be. Preferred listening for distraction while doing injections (which is to say, a great way to stumble around looking for band-aids whilst both hosts attempt to determine the correct number of Marx brothers. Huzzay huzzay.)
I absolutely love this podcast! Nothing cheers me up faster when things are bad than listening to Ken and Dee. They are both so knowledgeable, intelligent, perceptive, and funny! Plus, as I said, they absolutely know what they are talking about and anyone who is interested in antiques and collectibles will learn a great deal from them.
came for the Terror historical costuming episode, stayed for the Sailor's Word Book and Varney absurdity, got hooked on learning about objects i didn't even know existed and the people who love them.
also! y'all are some of the best interviewers i've ever heard. i don't usually listen to interviews because i get horrible secondhand social anxiety about awkward pauses and umm-uhh-ing, but y'all's awesome hosting and editing makes all your interviews flow so nicely and naturally. it's asking good... more
