American Soccer Analysis is an occasional podcast with a focus on soccer made or played in America, especially NWSL and MLS, from a numbers and analytics perspective. The rotating cadre of hosts bring an enthusiasm, statistical acumen, and deep understanding of the game that can be rivaled only by Alexi Lalas and Carli Lloyd.

Harrison returns from his Kraken based absence and the crew talk about some early season things that may or may not continue as the sample size fairy visits us every week. Also, trivia.

These guys have excellent analysis, excellent statistics, excellent blog posts but fail to update the statistics on their website in a timely manner after games. Other stat-based sites for various sports have their stats updated within a day or 2 after any given game. ASA takes several days and sometimes does not have previous games’ stats posted prior to new games being played several days later. Otherwise, there’s no better MLS analysis out there.
The folks at ASA really know their Soccer and back up everything they say with hard numbers!
