  • One of The Three

A & B testing podcast is one of my favorite podcasts ( even across all genres, not just “testing”!) Love the wit and straightforwardness from Alan and Brent, on just about any topics!

When I first started listening to this podcast two years ago as an entry level SDET, it really opened my eyes to how “testing” can be done and should be done. In my organization no one had talked about or done things this way, yet Alan and Brent’s stance on testing made so much sense and was strikingly enlighteni... more

  • The best podcast about software quality

Alan and Brent keep our of the whole fight between iSTQB and CDT, and just use common sense, their experience from different Microsoft (and later Unity) projects and develop a set of principles that help guide people through modern software development problems.

A must-listen for people caring about software quality.

  • one of the three binge-listener

Wonderful podcast. It's so enjoyable. And a good source of information to think about too. I wonder if I can mention it as a source of information on my hopefully soon-to-be-job-interviews))

Thank you, Alan and Brent! Please don't stop

  • Really good stuff

Really love your Podcast guys. Your interactions are hilarious. And I also love the honesty regarding all topics. It's cool to listen to honest professionals. The only thing that I would ask for is more actionable tips and real life examples to drive home the points. The theory is great, but I would love to know how to apply it, measure it, and do it correctly. Keep up the awesome work!

Espisode 233: Empathy Elevated w/ Colette Molteni
Q: How does AI intersect with human skills, and what should leaders do about it?
AI can augment but not replace human empathy; leaders should leverage AI responsibly while maintaining the human elements of listening, context, and compassionate delivery, especially in customer-facing scenarios.
Espisode 233: Empathy Elevated w/ Colette Molteni
Q: What practical steps can leaders take to develop empathy and better manage teams?
Actively seek feedback (360s), acknowledge inherent biases, commit to ongoing human skills development, and practice direct, clear communication while ensuring space for others to speak up and be heard.
Espisode 233: Empathy Elevated w/ Colette Molteni
Q: Why do so many people miss the signal in the moment, and how can leaders improve?
Distractions and a bias toward technical execution lead to missing signals; the fix lies in intentional pauses, feedback loops, and creating psychological safety so team members feel free to express concerns and objections early.
Episode 220: Spy Returns
Q: What principle of modern testing do you find the most controversial?
The principle stating the customer is the only one capable of judging quality often triggers strong reactions.
Episode 220: Spy Returns
Q: Is it as difficult to get an interview for an executive level job as it is for management or programmer?
Yes, it seems to be equally challenging for all levels due to changes in the job market.
