  • Taxes

I thought the episode was very well done. The only thing that I think was left out and should have been mentioned was the estate tax. This episode made it sound like very wealthy people could just have their assets grow and when they die with the step up in basis, there is no tax. While that is true, anything they leave to heirs is subject to estate tax which can be very high.

  • Interesting

My curiosity has been somewhat satisfied regarding the subject of AI after listening to this episode.

I plan to share it with others that I think may benefit.

I have been reading 1440 for about a year now and have gained knowledge on some subjects.

I plan to continue and look forward to listening to more podcasts.

    One thing more…

I agree with another’s comment regarding a less NPR “feel” would do well!!!

Q: What explains the gap between the sticker price and what families actually pay?
Sandy Baum explains that the real price is affected by financial aid from federal, state, and institutional sources, which discounts the sticker price for most students, making net price the more meaningful figure for affordability.
