One fire card that I love is Raging Flame Sprite. It is a 100 attack, 200 defense effect monster. It's effect is "This card can attack your opponent directly. If this card inflicts damage to your opponent by a direct attack: this card gains 1000 attack." This allows it to very quickly lower your opponent's life points. Try adding Graydles. You get added control, plus the effect of graydle alligator (if it is sent to the graveyard by battle or spell/magic effect, equip it to an opponent's monster which then is added to your side of the field) could be used as a good combo. Here's how it works:
