  • Performative betas

These guys are a microcosm of the video game industry. Constantly preaching, and virtue signaling. It’s all performative. There’s a reason why video game journalism is dying, and I won’t be surprised when these guys eventually “close their doors”.

Q: When we talk about Animal Crossing and how that was such a massive crossover success, do we want to get like really, really like we want to shoot these expectations way high in the sky?
I think it's impossible to truly predict how far this is going to go. But this is a good idea. Like this game overall is very well thought out.

Q: Did you notice any limitations in the building process?
I think it was really, really freeform and flexible. You can build just giant skyscrapers. I didn't find the height limit.

Q: How did you feel about this first hour of gameplay that we got?
I really like this genre, and Pokemon is a perfect fit for it. I've had my eye on this one thinking this is going to be a huge hit, and after playing 90 minutes of it, I'm like, yeah, I think this is going to be one of the best Switch 2 games that comes out this year.
