I absolutely adore every show. I relate to so much of what you reference and I love how you are not afraid to tackle such hard subjects. No we don’t need to follow in our family footsteps. It’s ok to set boundaries with people - yes even familia. I have dyslexia and ADHD - a topic that is very under represented i... more
At 30 years old I am just now uncovering the generational trauma in my family and as the eldest of 6 siblings, I have felt so much guilt. Learning about parentification has opened my eyes to understanding myself, but your episode 5 put in a real perspective as a Mexican American because people don’t understand how normalized this is! Thank you thank you thank you!
Hermana. Just thank you 💗
I appreciate this podcast so much and the value it brings. As the someone who grew up as the eldest daughter of immigrant Latino parents/family, I feel heard and this has been helping me to better understand the toxic areas of my family life and how to better deal with it in a constructive and healthy way.
Keep it up, girl!
I feel so represented and understood. It is hard to find people who can relate to my experience so getting to listen to this every week makes me feel hopeful and heard.
