I knew that YALD existed and was doing great work for NYC youth, but I didn’t know the behind the scenes components that make it such a great organization. This podcast really sheds a light on how YALD began, why it began, and the impact that it has had and is still having.

My son is finally enrolled in YALD & I am grateful for this program and so happy about this podcast! Hearing the backstory + knowing that my son is in the hands of humans with such heart & dedication is heartwarming. I watched these men as boys play football on my block. Seeing where they took their passion for football and filling the gap in our neighborhood to this height is mind-blowing.
