Listen, I’m down for a good laugh, but this was impossible to listen to- not because the guys are enjoying themselves, but because they aren’t remotely talking about the book. They aren’t getting anything about the book right- completely getting relationships and plot wrong. Did you even read this thing? Wow.
I’ve been reading war and peace for a couple years, and I’ve tried multiple podcasts to help me along with it (why are there so many?) and this is the best one by far. So diplomat.
Sort of funny but not enough to make up for how much they get wrong. They even have an unnecessary part of the show where they “read” the book…. But did they?
Thank you for this podcast. I listen to shows when I’m out walking and often have to stop on the street because I’m laughing so hard. I’m also reading War and Peace at the same time- it makes the book so much fun.
These two are incredibly funny and I hope they go on to review many other books together! It’s hard to overstate how funny they are especially since they’re just two blokes like ones a maths teacher and the other is a married guy or something. Much much funnier than most professional comedians is what I’m saying. This podcast deserves waaay more recognition. Love it!
