Very professional and knowledgable. Great variety of topics but all on the central theme. Especially enjoy the current events as it lets you examine events through a different lens.

Short and to the point, audio quality is superb. The host cuts cleanly through the geologic layers of nonsense of a very complex subject.
For me the perfect podcast for understanding the types of war and levels, short and snappy. The examples give a good view of to an academic level.
This series is a primer on the basics of modern combat with an emphasis on the historical road. Heavy on background, the listener is entertained with facts in the same way Paul Harvey once completed a scenario. I enjoy nuanced stories and this podcast fits that niche. My one critique is I’m always wishing for more at the end. Of course, this could be clever design.

A focused history and theory show that breaks down warfare across periods and theaters, from naval engagements to land campaigns and modern interventions. Episodes blend detailed operational description with leadership reflections, ethical questions, and practical takeaways for strategy, business, and decision-making. The host maintains a concise, instructional style, often delivering 15-minute deep-dives that connect historical lessons to contemporary contexts. A notable strength is the host's willingness to share personal experience and critique planning decisions, which adds a distinctive, opinionated lens to well-trodden military history topics.
