  • An interesting listen

I’m from New England and love visiting Vermont. The hosts are always polite even when callers are a little blunt. Although the callers tend to be very nice! You can learn a lot from this show regardless of where you live.

One suggestion I have is that while each episode says it’s been edited for clarity and brevity, it feels like some content could be cut such as calls from people who can’t hear the hosts or vice versa. The hosts having to cut off callers who go on for too long is a little awk... more

  • Unprofessional

You don’t seem to have an editor. You leave in irrelevant calls, and the resulting fluster that it causes the hosts. Mikaela stutters and stammers and she sounds perpetually stuffed up. “Verbont” I can’t stand it. The guests are good, and the topics are interesting. Please make it sound more professional and smoother

  • Love the show but…..

I love the show but some of the programs are just boring and useless.

I love Jane Lindholm and miss her very much, the new hosts voices are super annoying.

I love when brave little state does it because they are clear and factual.

  • Man they’re pushing the vaccines hard

Aren’t some of the Nuremberg codes “The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury” and “Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability, or death“? How is giving a vaccine at an inn, Jazzfest or speedway conducting the (emergency authorized) vaccination as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental injury? How is administ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Vermont Edition at Home: Howard Dean
Q: Do you remember what changed about your family dynamic when your brother died?
The death deeply affected the family; it created a lasting sense of loss and reshaped how the family interacted with each other, making their bond stronger yet marked by grief.
Are twins really "in the water" in Sheldon? Brave Little State investigates
Q: Is there a real pattern in twins clustering in Sheldon, or is it a coincidence?
The data suggests a mix of genetics, family clustering, and movement into town, with yearbooks and school records showing fluctuating but not consistently higher twin rates; expert input also points to genetic propensity for fraternal twinning, plus close-knit family networks.
Legislative session wrap-up
Q: Anne-Marie asks why one-time money is used to buy down property taxes instead of recurring revenue.
The hosts explain that the money is largely one-time because it comes from the general fund rather than the education fund, and because it results from higher-than-forecast revenues rather than a steady, predictable inflow; the point is the money is not expected to recur year after year.
Town by Town: Brattleboro
Q: What makes Brattleboro a compelling place for Town by Town to visit next?
The town has a deep cultural ecosystem—from historic theaters and riverside development to a thriving arts scene and strong community support networks that make it feel both rooted and evolving.

Q: What did they reveal about ICE's capacity in Vermont?
