A few months ago you aired a program in which two of your guests, medical doctors, one from Australia and the other from Scotland posited that Sunlight maybe a disease inhibitor or in some way prevent certain diseases like MS could be inhibited by sunlight. Five years ago my dermatologist thought I might have Mycosis Fungoites and although it could not be confirmed I was treated with UVB and these symptoms went away. Fast forward 5 years I have had a reoccurrence of these same symptoms and wh... more
I used to be a regular listener years ago. The episodes were interesting, the questions sophisticated, and guests did most of the talking. I learned something from each episode. Today many episodes are political (boring) and topics aren’t explored deeply. Meghna should speak less. Example: the recent episode on muscles. 30 minutes wasted. It could have been very interesting but what we learned is that exercising muscles is important, at any age. And yes, the two had a nice chat.
This podcast is definitely in my top few. Excellently researched, produced and presented. Meghna is a top notch interviewer, with an amazing command of information. Topic selection is right on point. Never disappoints! Kudos! Gratitude!
This guy is out here saying dema are blowing their strategic advantage by trying to get healthcare subsidies. Meanwhile, there are those of us DEMOCRATS out here terrified of losing the subsidies bc we will not be able to afford healthcare. I have never had insurance until these subsidies, and I won’t again if they go away. I can’t even afford healthcare for my child. I’m in a red state with no Medicaid expansion and we’re about to be completely screwed if these subsidies aren’t continued.
Admittedly I never listened to OnPoint in its former incarnation but I really do like her. I don’t agree with every thing that she says and every guest that she brings on. That’s fine! She’s smart and asks excellent nuanced questions. I don’t think there’s any NPR show that makes me question my beliefs the way OnPoint does.
