The name says it all, but I love how contributors define what the content of the podcast is and how they then get the chance to come on the mic and expand on the subject they pitched. A great podcast by scientist aiming at digesting recent publications into terms that are accessible to the general public.
This podcast dives into a few scientific articles each episode and discusses them in a way that scientists and non-scientists alike can enjoy. The hosts are consistently knowledgeable, clever, and surprisingly funny (sometimes I even find myself laughing out loud). A great step forward to aid the public with scientific literacy.
Thank you for making this available.
It's really great to hear honest, reasoned analysis from actual scientists. The discussions highlight a handful of recently-published scientific papers and describe the context of other research on the subject as well as any particular weaknesses or strengths in the methodology or analysis. My only complaint is the long breaks between episodes, but that's probably due to scheduling. Useful Science, well named.
Edit: no updates for six months. Alas, we hardly knew ye.
Really great podcast. Great discussions on fascinating and useful articles, with a comfortable atmosphere that makes it very entertaining and informative.
