Interesting variety of topics but found the vocal fry of host Bess Chapman unbearable. She has poor vocal practice when speaking. I thought maybe it was a one off in the episode I was listening to but found it to be a bad habit in her speech in other episodes as well. FYI... Tension, a lack of breath support—or both, usually cause vocal fry in the speaking voice. Speaking at a pitch that's too low for the voice can also cause it.
