This podcast is such an eye opener to the horrors of this world but also how Real the power of God is. Nothing is more just than his grace and mercy which gives me hope in knowing that these victims aren’t just survivors but have been blessed by the Holy Spirit. As a victim of sexual abuse and physical abuse, I can relate with these stories. Touching and compelling, thank you for shining light and being empathetic to your guest! The culture needs this for healing purposes.
I’m all for representation and what not but every episode is either a woman doing something bad or having something bad done to her. For a podcast dedicated to negativity (which is cool! I’m all for the darkness), having it all centered on women feels…icky.
This podcast has great potential, however the host stands in the way of the podcast being great. All of the guests have interesting stories and perspectives, however the host does not do a great job of letting the guests tell their story in organized fashion. Chris Styles begins every episode by getting straight to the point of why the guest was brought on. This tactic affects the anticipation of the episode and creates confusion because he is essentially letting them tell their stories backward... more
I have been listening to this podcast for a while now and I have to say that every episodes hits a realm of life that I had no clue existed and if I did its a whole different vein from what is common knowledge. The host has a brilliant way of having a conversation with the guest that makes them feel safe and open up about their experience.
This is such a good podcast and I think it owes it to the host, Chris. He lets people speak without judgement and asks the questions that I think we’re all wondering about. His guests are able to open up in a way that doesn’t seem exploitative but instead comes off as two friends just talking.
