  • Long live the disco biscuits

Great podcast for any disco biscuits fan,

even better podcast for fans of bands named after a animal (fish, geese, pigeons etc)

Next year the disco biscuit celebrate 30 years as a band… It’s unbelievable that they are playing at such a high-level in 2024 and showing no signs of slowing down. Big big things ahead for the disco biscuits and fam. Thanks Matt and of course thank you Barber for this podcast!

E110 - Camp Home Again: Tractorbeam Workshop
Q: What AI tools specifically are you using to extract samples?
I use a tool called Moises which is not perfect but allows me to extract samples from tracks.
E107 - Conducting Camp Home Again
Q: What went down before the set?
Preparation was about creating a comfortable environment and allowing the musicians to have a blank slate, emphasizing relaxation and openness to surprise.
E107 - Conducting Camp Home Again
Q: How common or uncommon is it for you, Matt, to do an Everyone Orchestra where you're not playing with an ad hoc configuration of Jam All Stars, but rather sitting down with a band?
Not often; the Everyone Orchestra concept is usually about bringing together diverse groups. This experience was different as it was with an established band celebrating its 30th anniversary.
E106 - Think Tank Dubs All Day
Q: What was your first show?
My first show was in 1998 at the Wetlands, and I had been on Disco Biscuits since earlier that spring.
E106 - Think Tank Dubs All Day
Q: What do you want to promote for your session number 100?
Session 100 will be a three set show, starting with all vinyl MF Doom in the first set, followed by surprises in the second.
