  • Tony is a Legend.

I’ve been listening to Tony for decades thanks to my Dad listening to him as I was growing up but now listen to every show thanks to the podcast. There is no better place for UT sports talk than the TB network. I’m a UT grad living in KY and listening to the show makes me feel closer to home. He’s as much of a tradition for me as Rocky Top and running through the T.

  • Sky is Falling

I love Tony but the constant “sky is falling” attitude of the cohosts is beyond tired. And the perpetual backhanded, passive aggressive jabs at players and coaches gets old. Tony and co refuse to believe the team is good and the coaches are smart. It’s just exhausting listening to constant bickering and complaining. And no, I’m not a sheep who needs to be coddled. But a little bit of catching your breath once in a while would go a long way.

  • Holier than thou

Tony allows callers only to mock them if they disagree with him.

  • Sensitive host

Unless you’re one of Tony’s sycophants, why would you ever call this show? If you don’t agree with Tony, you’re a clown, then a couple of days later he will make the same point the caller did. Now Matt is getting in on the action. The more I listen the more I understand how sensitive and prickly Tony is from criticism.

  • This gentleman…

Is struggling for interaction…. Uncle Danny has better insight into college athletics than this gentleman. Check out Uncle Danny’s Grilled Cheese.

Not right now, but there's a chance after the Bama game.
9-19-2025 Tony Basilio Show
Q: Will Tennessee exceed their team total of 56 points tomorrow against UAB?
Yes, they should easily exceed that.
9-18-2025 Tony Basilio Show
Q: Should we have taken a timeout, Matt?
You certainly could have, but I think the game could have ended the same way either way because it was a close match-up.
9-17-2025 Adam Sparks Interview
Q: When we see Tennessee on the road for the first time in the SEC, do they get the two defensive linemen back or one of the two?
I would say probably one out of two defensive linemen are expected back, with a better chance of getting back both by next week.
9-17-2025 Adam Sparks Interview
Q: If Niko would have stayed, what do you think the team's offense would have looked like?
It would have looked like a mix between last year and this year, potentially better, but would have lacked the current fluidity due to Nico's processing issues.
