  • Sensitive host

God forbid you disagree Tony. He is as sensitive as they come. It’s also hard to listen to his show because half of it is his on air sponsor list.

  • Tony is a Legend.

I’ve been listening to Tony for decades thanks to my Dad listening to him as I was growing up but now listen to every show thanks to the podcast. There is no better place for UT sports talk than the TB network. I’m a UT grad living in KY and listening to the show makes me feel closer to home. He’s as much of a tradition for me as Rocky Top and running through the T.

  • Sky is Falling

I love Tony but the constant “sky is falling” attitude of the cohosts is beyond tired. And the perpetual backhanded, passive aggressive jabs at players and coaches gets old. Tony and co refuse to believe the team is good and the coaches are smart. It’s just exhausting listening to constant bickering and complaining. And no, I’m not a sheep who needs to be coddled. But a little bit of catching your breath once in a while would go a long way.

4-22-2026 Watson Brown Interview
Q: What would you do to modify the playoff structure for more teams to be involved?
I'd introduce a balanced schedule, an 11-week finish, and pairings that maximize impact while letting higher seeds host; this could expand the playoff field and reward top teams without overloading the schedule.
4-24-2026 Garza Law Tennessee Baseball Extra Innings Vols over Bama
Q: What was the turning point of the series for Tennessee?
The turning point was the aggressive in-game decision to bunt and manufactured runs in the sixth inning, coupled with Keegan Coons and Blaine Brown delivering at the plate, which catalyzed a multi-run inning and sparked momentum that carried Tennessee to a sweep.
4-16-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: What is the dominant theme around the transfer portal in this episode?
The transfer portal is portrayed as being heavily influenced by agents and money, with Tennessee characterized as actively and aggressively pursuing top targets, and debates about how much money and boosters influence decisions.
4-16-2026 The Weekend Rotation with Will Heflin Ole Miss preview
Q: What was the significance of Elander's bullpen management decisions last weekend?
Elander's decision to deploy Appenzeller on Friday for the first time and mix bullpen usage demonstrated a willingness to gamble in pursuit of momentum, which Linginfelter views as a constructive, game-to-game risk that paid off.
3-25-2026 Watson Brown Interview
Q: Cinco, you forward or against it? The deal with Major League Baseball bringing in college baseball umpires and replay for strike zones—what's your take?
The hosts and Watson express skepticism about total reliance on replay, suggesting a need to balance human judgment with technology, while acknowledging potential improvements for accuracy in balls and strikes.
