  • Sensitive host

God forbid you disagree Tony. He is as sensitive as they come. It’s also hard to listen to his show because half of it is his on air sponsor list.

  • Tony is a Legend.

I’ve been listening to Tony for decades thanks to my Dad listening to him as I was growing up but now listen to every show thanks to the podcast. There is no better place for UT sports talk than the TB network. I’m a UT grad living in KY and listening to the show makes me feel closer to home. He’s as much of a tradition for me as Rocky Top and running through the T.

  • Sky is Falling

I love Tony but the constant “sky is falling” attitude of the cohosts is beyond tired. And the perpetual backhanded, passive aggressive jabs at players and coaches gets old. Tony and co refuse to believe the team is good and the coaches are smart. It’s just exhausting listening to constant bickering and complaining. And no, I’m not a sheep who needs to be coddled. But a little bit of catching your breath once in a while would go a long way.

8-5-2026 Watson Brown Interview
Q: How do you decide who starts at quarterback when you're in camp and you don't have a clear favorite?
The goal is to have clarity by around the 10th day, but if that isn't possible, you acknowledge the reality, cover it up, and prepare to adapt as needed while observing consistency, timing, and leadership across reps.
8-4-2026 Maury Hanks Interview (Vol Hoops transfer Jalen Washington)
Q: Maury, how are you doing today?
Maury responds that he's doing fine and adds some light humor about the beach and the travel, then shifts to discussing Washington's fit and Tennessee's roster strategy.
8-4-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: Which Tennessee program has the best shot at a national championship this year?
Based on roster moves and coaching, the basketball programs and football appear strongest, with basketball likely leading due to depth and transfers, followed by football and softball as contenders depending on funding and roster changes.
7-24-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: Which teams are expected to finish in the top five this season?
The hosts and guests largely expect Texas, Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, and Texas A&M to be the elite five, with debate about their exact order and potential surprises.
7-24-2026 Mike Huguenin Interview
Q: Out of those five, who do you think might not end up in the top five by year's end?
Huguenin suggests LSU and Texas A&M could fall out or underperform due to roster turnover and coaching adjustments, while Ole Miss and Texas A&M face questions about quarterback and line stability; he leans toward A&M and Ole Miss finishing outside the top five.
