  • Sensitive host

God forbid you disagree Tony. He is as sensitive as they come. It’s also hard to listen to his show because half of it is his on air sponsor list.

  • Tony is a Legend.

I’ve been listening to Tony for decades thanks to my Dad listening to him as I was growing up but now listen to every show thanks to the podcast. There is no better place for UT sports talk than the TB network. I’m a UT grad living in KY and listening to the show makes me feel closer to home. He’s as much of a tradition for me as Rocky Top and running through the T.

  • Sky is Falling

I love Tony but the constant “sky is falling” attitude of the cohosts is beyond tired. And the perpetual backhanded, passive aggressive jabs at players and coaches gets old. Tony and co refuse to believe the team is good and the coaches are smart. It’s just exhausting listening to constant bickering and complaining. And no, I’m not a sheep who needs to be coddled. But a little bit of catching your breath once in a while would go a long way.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

3-18-2026 Watson Brown Interview
Q: Outside of that, what do I look at when I'm looking at a say a quarterback?
If I'm a coach, I'm more watching his fundamentals and how to improve him than I am just watching his talent. Talent's not going to show much in spring ball with a new quarterback, because they're learning.
3-4-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: What do you think about the current state of senior night and player loyalty in the SEC?
There's a growing concern about players finishing where they started, but the reality is a lot of movement and short tenures due to NIL and transfer incentives, which affects loyalty and program culture.
2-23-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: What do you think about the baseball team's performance this weekend?
Concerns are generally low, with many viewing this as a period of adjustment and focusing on pitching.
2-23-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: On a scale of one to ten, where do you stand on the basketball team's chances of reaching the Elite Eight?
Responses ranged from four to eight, indicating they are competitive but cautious about high expectations.
2-23-2026 Tony Basilio Show
Q: How concerned are you about Joey Aguilar's impact on the upcoming season?
Concerns vary from 5-7, with some believing that the team needs to adjust to a new quarterback after years of change.
