  • No Excuse

I listened to the explanation of Jesus and the Gentile woman and was disappointed. How can you say that humanity is made in Gods image and at the same time say that Gentiles were family pet dogs? A dog is not the same as a human. It is sad and hurtful to know that we Gentiles are known as domesticated dogs.

  • Awful

I tried listening to the episode about beauty with one Phillip Ryken. It was absolutely revolting when he gleefully shared a story about how one honored professor threatened a man on his death bed. There is nothing Christian about that. Stay away unless you enjoy “fundamentalist” nonsense.

Why Apprenticeship is the Truest Form of Discipleship - with Heath Hardesty
Q: What would you say to somebody who's feeling spiritually stagnant?
Live out of your identity as a child of God, reimagine your days in that light, and engage more deeply with Scripture and prayer.
Why Apprenticeship is the Truest Form of Discipleship - with Heath Hardesty
Q: What do you think is the relationship between apprenticeship in the way of Jesus and living in a fragmented world?
Apprenticeship to Jesus helps to heal and restore the fragmentation caused by sin, leading to a life of shalom and integration.
The Gospel in the Midst of Grief: Lessons from Widowhood - with Susan VandePol
Q: What would you say to someone who's newly widowed and struggling to cope with or even believe in that there is hope beyond this loss?
I would encourage them to set boundaries around themselves, avoid trite sayings from others, and understand that the covenant tearing is why they feel pain. It's vital to remember one's grief and find a safe space to express it.
The Gospel in the Midst of Grief: Lessons from Widowhood - with Susan VandePol
Q: What do you think are some misconceptions people have about grief, especially for widows?
The idea that widows get over it and move on is a significant misconception. The Marriage Covenant is to reflect Christ and His Church to the world, and its tearing is a powerful issue in grief.
