In a world of many voices, Gavin Ortlund and this podcast are a true breath of fresh air. I’m thankful to have a model of thinking deeply and critically, while also handling the truth in love. I look forward to many more episodes.
There is no podcast or online theologian that has changed and grown me the way Dr. Ortlund has. His Christ like approach to everything he does is the role model for my life thank you.
I listened to his criticism of Eastern Orthodoxy. I am not Orthodox (at least not yet, I’m a confused Prot) but I’ve been super interested in it for a while. I liked how fair he was, I liked the criticisms he brought up of particular Orthodox teachings, particularly how they were well worded and honestly present a difficult challenge for those in that tradition to respond. I thought he [Gavin] used Scripture well. Overall, Gavin shows that Evangelicals can be fiercely intelligent and well spoken... more

It is rare to find a man or theologian with this much humility yet at the same time extremely knowledge and astonishingly, also be able to communicate his deep reformed theology very clearly. I love all topics Dr. Ortlund goes over, I love a lot of his responses being from a deep understanding of a reformed view of historical Christianity. This podcast is a must listen to anyone wanting to deepen their knowledge of theology but also, more importantly, know Christ.
