I can’t believe I just stumbled upon this podcast. It is truly packed with useful information and inspirational, entertaining stories for anyone interested in thru hiking. I’m now eagerly going through past episodes, especially those focusing on information useful for my upcoming thru hike of the John Muir Trail and my plans to finish section hiking the Continental Divide Trail (at least within Colorado). I’ve just finished listening to episode 191 with “Just Mike” McClure, and it is so useful. ... more
I love hearing the stories from fellow thru hikers. Carol’s format of having hikers report from the trail is so cool and I love feeling like I’m on trail with people. Some of my favorite episodes feature Dim Sum.
Absolutely love this podcast!! Such great information for hiking rookies and veterans alike with a variety of episode formats and knowledgable guests - many with years of experience in the backcountry. The host, Cheer, is a triple crowner herself and not only asks amazing questions but brings a wealth of knowledge to the episodes as well. And, she’s fun! Highly recommend for anyone interested in hiking/ backpacking/ the outdoors and getting out more often!
