  • Mostly the Best

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to! I started out with the first few episodes, so I don’t know if this is a joke anymore, but did Zach hike the AT in 2011? Who knows, who cares. Anyway, love listening to you guys. Keep up the great work

  • Always a good listen even if you only kind of like hiking

I started listening while trying to figure out how to start backpacking and not carry like 40 pounds of things I don’t need. I learned that and kept on listening! The show is just a good listen and Zach and Chaunce have a solid back and forth that makes for a fun time. Guests are always interesting and run the gamut of hiker trash, dirtbags, and people just genuinely trying to live the good life.

Absolutely love this show and cannot get enough. I discovered backpacker radio about 6 months ago and have since binged on it every moment I can. I fear the day i run out of backlogged episodes and have to wait a week between new content. Zach and Chaunce are fantastic hosts and I love the variety of guests they get on, I’ve learned so much from the wealth of knowledge that is shared on this podcast. I’d love to hike the WRHR and it would be great if Alan Dixon could get on an episode and dive d... more

I absolutely love this podcast. I’ve been listening to it I think since 2018. Some of the people they have on are so inspiring and that’s why I love it. I think a lot of us dream of doing a thru hike one day. However, I must say I don’t want this show to turn into something that only young or mid aged privileged white people are the ones interviewed most of the time. What makes this podcast great is the people who have done these hikes where something very intriguing is also happening. For examp... more
