Upon reading example after disastrous example from Israel's history, it's tempting to just give up and throw in the towel. After all, if these previous generations weren't able to avoid stumbling and falling, what hope is there for us? In this week's... more
It’s often said that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. In Jude’s short letter, he draws on a litany of examples from Old Testament history to warn the church about the dangers of rebelling against Jesus’ rule. In this week... more

The Summit is doing an amazing job of encouraging christian nationalizts by staying silent on current events that defy the teachings attributed to Jesus. Another era of most christians supporting wrongdoing and wrong thinking, as with the inquisition, slavery, women's rights, civil rights, or anyone too different. "History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people."... more
I am a new attendee from middle school ministry into High School now, and every time I either attend in person, or listen from home, it is always so beneficial for my heart, my spirit, and my faith. I thank the pastors, worship team, and everyone helping bring these words into my heart. It is really a blessing for me to learn new things, and grow closer to God.
Pastor JD - Thank you for your faithfulness to the call. I listen to your sermons each week and the other pastor’s as well. The one June 6th on Paul’s thorn was beyond timely in my life. My kids and grandkids live in Wake Forest, and I always encourage them to PLEASE visit Summit Church!! ( PS my son is also a Nicholas Cage fan )
I love listening to the sermons from this church!
They dive into scripture and pull the truth from it, not using it to qualify their own sense of truth.
JD Greear speaks in such a strong and sometimes matter-of-fact way, but you hear his pastors heart in each sermon that the convictions and corrections are felt as a loving discipline from someone who cares for us.
Keep up the good work in Christ, through Christ for His glory and our joy!

Listeners primarily engage with biblically centered sermons from a Protestant church network, with frequent emphasis on gospel-centered living, discipleship, and community. Episodes often explore Philippians and other books, mix practical life application with theological depth, and include stories or analogies to illustrate spiritual growth, generosity, and church life. A standout element is the consistent emphasis on Scripture, gospel clarity, and mission-minded living, along with occasional reflections on church community, leadership, and intergenerational mentorship. The format typically blends expository preaching with personal anecdotes, a call to respond to faith, and encouragement to engage with local campuses or ministries. Potenti... more
